Green meetings: Sustainability by design

Arrive, stay overnight, meet and simply feel good:

Guests of Leonardo Hotels our hotels travel in an environmentally friendly manner – and help protect the planet. The reason: We follow a strict ESG strategy and are committed to people and the environment. The list of our sustainability measures is over 160 points long and is implemented consistently – throughout our entire company.

For meeting planners, this means: They can organise meetings with low emissions – and positively influence the ecological footprint of their company. This already starts with the journey: Using our DB Event Ticket, conference participants travel to their events at our hotels in a 100 percent climate-neutral way and at a particularly low price – thanks to a partnership between Leonardo Hotels and Deutsche Bahn.

On site, the guest journey continues in a sustainable manner: from saving valuable resources and reducing emissions to efficient energy management – we have a comprehensive climate protection strategy. By the end of 2024, all hotels in the Leonardo Group will be certified with the “Green Key” eco-label. Even today, 70 percent of all hotels cooperate with the “Too good to go” initiative against food waste. And our guests can get involved for a better tomorrow, too. With the “Green Option” they get the opportunity to waive their room cleaning in favour of social projects.

Green meetings: a matter of the heart at Leonardo Hotels.

Our comprehensive and long-term business strategy is based on three main pillars: Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). For us these pillars are known as Protecting Our Planet (E), Investing in People (S), and Driving Change (G). For each pillar, long-term ambitions have been set.

Achieving our ESG Ambitions

We have made a firm commitment to our planet and the people on it. To achieve our ESG ambitions in the following years, sustainability will be an integral part of the planning, management and development processes. We commit to communicating the progress made, internally as well as externally. Engaging our workforce, involving all teams in the progress and actively listening to our Green Championswill be a fundamental part of a successful implementation.
It is well understood concrete goals is only the first step on the path to sustainability and that dedicated effort is needed to implementing our comprehensive strategy.
